Harbinson Architects is a boutique architectural practice in Winston Salem, North Carolina. We specialize in the preservation, restoration,  renovation and new construction of traditional homes, churches, historical landmarks and private clubs and resorts. Our projects are diverse in scale, ranging from the design of a piece of furniture or light fixture to comprehensive master planning. Our subtle style of creating beautiful architectural compositions is as unique as our clients.

With a career spanning more than 30 years at firms in New York and North Carolina in which he was a named partner, Jeff’s work can be found across the eastern seaboard from Vermont to South Carolina. Jeff’s work has been honored consistently throughout the years starting when he received the AIA Gold Medal for top ranked graduating architecture student and the Alpha Rho Chi medal for leadership and service from the National Fraternity of Architecture when he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1982. Since then, his projects have been featured in National and Regional publications, and have garnered numerous awards from the AIA and other organizations as described in more detail below. 

Mary Reardon, lead interior designer of Harbinson Architects, is also a graduate of the UNCC College of Architecture.  Mary has been responsible for interior design on most of the Firm’s projects over the last 15 years.  While her work spans the full scope of the Firm’s Church and Residential projects, her specialty is designing interiors for clients with traditional homes and other buildings.  Mary works tirelessly with the Firm’s clients to produce a final product that fully reflects their values and taste.  Working hand in hand with the client, she helps insure that all finishes, fabrics, colors, fixtures and furniture blend seamlessly together to create the desired look and feel for which their clients are looking, and finishes by closely supervising the contractors and tradespeople to make sure the project is built to her demanding specifications.
